Korean BBQ
Korean BBQ, explained. The grill, the cuts, the wraps, and the sauces that make it different from American barbecue.
Korean BBQ is not American BBQ. American BBQ is low heat and long time, smoke doing most of the work. Korean BBQ runs the other way. Meat gets sliced thin, often marinated, and cooked over high heat in a minute or two. The grill sits at the table, everyone cooks their own, and the meal is built out of wraps, sauce, and side dishes rather than a single big protein.
This hub covers the whole thing. The cuts, the marinades, the sauce, the technique, the order of operations. If you are new to it, start with bulgogi or samgyeopsal. Both are forgiving and both are what people actually eat at home.

- SamgyeopsalPork belly, thick-cut, salted and grilled. The most ordered meat on any KBBQ menu.
